3.4. INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE
WARNING!
FIRE HAZARD DUE TO SHORT CIRCUIT. Do not twist or kink the power cable or roll the cable up. Do not clamp the power
cable between the surface and the appliance. This can damage the cable’s insulation.
1. Check that the dimensions of the hob cutout meet the minimum
dimensions. The hob cutout ensures good heat dissipation and
prevents overheating of the appliance.

2. Check that the dimensions of the surface meet the minimum
dimensions.

3. Check that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked and that they
meet the minimum dimensions.

4. Place the appliance with the control panel facing down on the
packaging.
5. Stick the sealing tape provided onto the bottom of the appliance
along the entire outer edge. Make sure the sealing tape overlaps
so that there are no cracks between the different sections of
sealing tape.
6. Place the appliance in the hob cutout.
7. Check that the appliance fits fully in the hob cutout and that the
glass plate makes full contact with the surface.
The appliance is correctly placed if it fits in the hob cutout and the glass
plate makes full contact with the surface.
8. Place a thermal protective barrier at the bottom of the appliance.
9. Remove the protective film from the glass plate.
