3. Assembly
1. Carefully remove the device from the box. Remove the protective bag and clean it with water and
detergent before using it for the first time. Place the extractor on a flat surface to dry. Caution: Sharp
edges.
2. Assembling the legs: assemble the legs to the barrel with bolts M8X16.
3. Mounting the drain tap: place the drain tap from the outside of the barrel into the pre-drilled hole and
tighten it.
4. Fixing the handle: put the hole of the handle into the drive axle of the gearbox and fix it with the screws
once they are matched.
5. Securing the unit: use expansion bolts or other proprietary methods to secure the entire unit to the work
floor.
6. Slightly rotate the inner basket by hand to see if it is working properly.
4. Disassembly
Remove the two nuts on both sides of the crossbar (one on each side), pull the crossbar and remove the inner
basket. Then take care of the small steel ball that is used to support the inner basket.
5. Operation
1. Place the bee frames (honeycombs) on the frame support of the inner basket. Place two or four
honeycombs on opposite sides to ensure balance during operation.
2. Closing the lids.
3. Once the barrel is securely fixed to the floor (by fixing the hole in the legs to the floor), turn the crank
handle to operate the basket.
4. Once the extraction is finished, stop the rotation of the crank and make sure the operator is safe (the
operator should not touch the crank). When the inner basket stops rotating, open the lid and check the
honeycomb inside the barrel.
5. If honey remains in the comb, repeat steps 2 and 3.
6. If there is no honey in the comb, proceed to the next step.
7. Remove the comb from the barrel, turn it over to the other side and place it back in the barrel. Repeat
steps 2 and 3 until you have extracted all the honey.
8. Place a bucket or other container under the drain tap. Open the drain tap and the honey will fall into the
bucket or container. At the final stage, tilt the barrel to make sure the honey comes out completely.
Warning: Do not open the lid while in operation to avoid injury.
5. Maintenance
• Store the extractor in a dry place when not in use. Although stainless steel is highly rust and corrosion
resistant, surface rust stains may appear if exposed to a damp environment.
• If a rust stain appears on the surface, remove it with a light abrasive material.
• If any abnormal noise occurs during operation, lubricate all bearings with food safe grease or oil and clean
them.
• If the shaft roller bearing does not rotate freely, lubricate with food safe grease or oil.
• Gearbox is permanently sealed, no maintenance required.
• Use water to clean the device and discharge all water to avoid rust or place the device with lids open next
to beehive. The bees will clean it out.
