The green earthing potential socket (3) is connected to the earthing conductor directly. The
adjustable output can be used with the positive terminal to ground reference, or the nega-
tive terminal to ground reference or oating.
Enable the output on the power pack by pressing the „OUTPUT ON / OFF“ (2) button.
Switch the consumer on. The current indicator “A” displays the current that the connected
load draws.
USB loads
The output voltage and current limitations set via the adjustment knobs do not apply to
the USB ports “AUX.1” and “AUX.2”. Voltage and current for the USB ports are controlled
automatically. Refer to the “Technical data” for voltage and current supply limits.
You can check the current output to the USB sockets (8/9) via the indicator “AUX.1” for
USB output “AUX.1” and the indicator “AUX.2” for output “AUX.2”. Current is displayed in
Ampere “A”.
Check the currently supplied voltage on USB socket “AUX.1” by pressing and holding the
adjustment control “VOLTAGE” for 3 seconds and then releasing it.
– The display shows the supplied voltage for 3 seconds and then shows the rated volt-
age again.
Check the voltage supplied on USB socket “AUX.2” by pressing and holding the adjustment
control “CURRENT” for 3 seconds and then releasing it.
– The display shows the supplied voltage for 3 seconds and then shows the rated volt-
age again.
10 Remote control
The laboratory power supply can be controlled from a Windows
®
computer via USB connection.
You will need to install a driver and software.
Driver, software and software operating instructions are available from www.conrad.com/down-
loads.

Connect the supplied USB cable to the USB-B port “Remote control” at the rear of the
laboratory power supply.
Connect the USB-A plug of the USB cable to the computer.
– The remote control symbol indicates an active remote connection.
10.3 Remote controlling the laboratory power supply
Download the software operating instructions from www.conrad.com/downloads.
Remotely control the laboratory power supply according to the software operating instruc-
tions.
11 Maintenance and Cleaning
Always unplug the power plug from the mains socket before cleaning the
device.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They
damage the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
Do not immerse the product in water.
Except for replacing the fuse and occasional cleaning, the power supply unit does not
require any maintenance.
Use a dry, clean, lint-free, antistatic cloth to clean the device. Do not use any abrasive or
chemical agents or detergents containing solvents.
12 Replacing the fuse
If it is no longer possible to switch on the power unit, the mains fuse is probably defective.
Turn off the laboratory power supply.
Remove all connecting cables. Pull the mains plug from the rear
connection (11).
Remove the main fuse holder (10) with a suitable screwdriver from
the bracket, as displayed.
Replace the defective fuse with a new one of the same type. Refer
to the “Technical data” for the fuse specications.
Push the main fuse holder carefully into the fuse holder.
13 Troubleshooting
Always observe the safety instructions!
Problem/event Solution/explanation

mains socket
Check the mains fuse in the power supply unit.
Connected loads don't
work.
Correct voltage set?
Is the polarity correct?
Has the power supply overloaded or is the current limitation
(display "CC") active?
Check the technical data of the load.
