Self-Cleaning of the Air Inlet
1. Twist the grille on the air inlet(12) a
little and remove it from the main unit.
2. Make sure that the device is discon-
nected from the mains power.
3. Slide the switch (9) to the On position
and wait approx. 3 seconds. Then slide
the switch back to the Off position.
4. Connect the mains plug to a plug socket
and within 6 seconds press and hold the
button (10) for 5 seconds.
Air flows out of the air inlet for approx.
15seconds. The device then switches off.
5. Disconnect the device from the mains
power.
6. If necessary, remove any dust from the
filter on the air inlet and the grille.
7. Plug the grille onto the main unit and
twist it to fix it in place.
STORAGE
Store it out of the reach of children and
animals in a dry, frost-free place which is
protected from persistent sunlight.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly, check
whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved
with the steps below, contact the customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair
an electrical device yourself!
The device does not work.
The mains plug is not inserted in the plug
socket correctly.
► Correct the fit of the mains plug.
The plug socket is defective.
► Try another plug socket.
The device only produces cold air.
The overheating protection has been
activated.
► Switch off the device and allow it to
cool down for a few minutes before it
is switched on again.
► Make sure that the openings are not
blocked. Clean it if necessary (see the
“Cleaning” chapter).
The cold temperature level has been selected.
► Press the button for a short time to
select another temperature level.
During use, an unpleasant smell
isdetected.
The device is being used for the first time.
► A smell often develops when new
devices are first used. The smell should
disappear once the device has been
used several times.
The device is dirty. Hairs and / or dust are
being heated in it.
► Clean the device (see the "Cleaning"
chapter).
During use, you notice that steam
isbeing produced.
The device is being used on damp / towel-
dried hair.
► This is moisture evaporating from your
hair.
