Configuration Web Interface

1 Prerequisites
To access the Conguration Web Interface of the SIP Client entry panel (art. 41007, K41007. XX, 40415.S and 40414.S)
you must have a PC with:
• An internet browser (Firefox, Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari)
• Connection to the same network of the device to be congured
• Internet connection – required exclusively for ‘First Setup’, ‘License Registration’ and ‘Credential Recovery’.
1.1 Devicenetworkaddressidentication
The device obtains the network conguration from a DHCP Server, and in the absence of such service obtains a link-local
address (169.254.0.0/16) to be reachable over the network.
Once you’ve identied the network address of your device, you must set up your PC in the same network subnet.
To identify the network address of your device, you can:
• Retrieve it from the DHCP Server
• Use a search tool for mDNS services (e.g. zeroconfServiceBrowser) and identify, by selecting the service _eipvdes._
tcp, the device based on its hostname (PEXXXXXX – where XXXXXX represent the last 6 digits without ‘:’ of the
MAC address of the device itself)
Alternatively, you can access the Conguration Web Interface through the device hostname (https://PEXXXXXX – where
XXXXXX represents the last 6 digits without ‘:’ of the DEVICE’s MAC address) and once reached the ‘Dashboard’ retrieve
the device’s network address for subsequent connections (in order to speed up the communication).
