Step 10: Attach the ends of the lower handrails to the lower handrail posts using

Step 9A: [This step does not apply to model LAD-FM-60.] Connect the upper and lower handrails using the
handrail splices (44-516-024). Insert the splices into the ends of the upper and lower handrails. Tighten the set
screws (2 per splice) as illustrated below to secure the connections.
Step 9B: Attach the handrails to the
stairway mounting frame. Move the
jack direction selector to the down
position (see diagram on p. 10).
Move the jack handle back-and-forth
and completely lower the stairway.
Fasten the curved end of each
upper stair rail to the rail posts of the
stairway mounting frame with

diagrams.
