OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT FOR GR-H2R GUARDRAIL SYSTEMS
The GR-H2R guardrail systems, including the GR-H2R-DI drop-in series, are engineered to deliver
robust protection for personnel and equipment across a variety of industrial and commercial
environments. To enhance the functionality, safety, and adaptability of these systems, Vestil offers a
selection of optional equipment. These accessories allow you to customize your guardrail installation to
meet specific site requirements, such as improved visibility, added structural support, or unique
configurations. This section provides an overview of the optional equipment available for the GR-H2R
guardrail systems, detailing each item’s purpose, benefits, and how it integrates with the standard
guardrail components. Note that some options may be specific to certain styles (e.g., bolt-on or drop-
in), so it is important to verify compatibility with your specific system.

1. End Caps
End caps are covers designed to fit over the open ends of guardrail sections. They provide a finished
appearance to the guardrail system and help protect the interior of the guardrail from debris, dirt, or
moisture, which can reduce the risk of corrosion or structural damage over time. End caps are typically
attached using simple methods such as screws or clips, depending on the specific design.
2. Brackets
Additional brackets can be used to reinforce the connections between guardrail sections and posts
or to adapt the system for non-standard configurations. These brackets increase the structural strength
of the guardrail, especially in high-impact areas, and offer flexibility in customizing the layout to suit
unique site conditions. Brackets are fastened to posts and guardrail sections using the provided
hardware, following similar installation steps as the standard brackets.
3. Floor Mounting Hardware
Floor mounting hardware is essential for anchoring the guardrail posts securely to the supporting
surface, such as concrete or asphalt. Vestil offers anchor kits specifically designed for this purpose,
including:
Single anchor kit: (1) 3/4" x 4" Anchor Bolt for Concrete
Four-pack anchor kit: (4) 3/4" x 4" Anchor Bolts for Concrete
These kits ensure that the posts remain stable and resistant to impacts, preventing them from shifting or
detaching during collisions. Installation involves drilling holes into the surface, inserting the bolts through
the post base plates, and tightening the nuts to secure the posts.
4. Spring Posts (Model: GR-H2R-SP)
Spring posts (Model: GR-H2R-SP) are a specialized type of post that flexes upon impact to absorb
energy and minimize damage. This feature reduces wear on both the guardrail system and the
impacting vehicle or equipment, enhancing safety by lowering the risk of injury during collisions. Spring
posts can replace standard posts and are anchored using the same methods, maintaining
compatibility with standard guardrail sections and brackets.
5. Flared End Guards (Model: GR-H2R-TG)
Flared end guards (Model: GR-H2R-TG) are protective covers designed for the ends of the guardrail
system. They eliminate sharp edges and protect the guardrail ends from damage due to impacts or
