Empty Operation
Protection
The Semaver should be operated as
long as there is water in it, but when you
unintentionally run it with no water in
the Semaver, your appliance will turn off
automatically.
When you encounter such a situation,
wait for 5-10 minutes to cool. Then fill it
with water and turn it on, the Semaver
will work normally.
J Cleaning and
Maintenance
• As indicated in the safety information
section, before starting the cleaning
and maintenance procedure, always
unplug the appliance from the outlet
and let it cool.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaning agents.
You can use soap to remove persistent
stains.
• Do not immerse the appliance in
water. To avoid electric shock, do not
clean the body of your Semaver with
water. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean
these parts.
• Only the teapot and strainer can be
washed by hand or in a dishwasher.
Descaling
• At least once a month regularly
remove the scale inside the Semaver
as described below:
• Fill the Semaver with water to cover
the limy sections paying attention not
to exceed the MAX mark, then add 10-
15 g of lemon salt and boil.
• Switch it off (or unplug the appliance).
• Pour water with lemon salt into the
Semaver.
• Fill the kettle with clean water until
MAX sign and boil the water.
• Drain this water to remove any residual
scales.
• Rinse the Semaver with clean water.
Storage
• Before storing the appliance, unplug
it, pour out the water and let it cool
completely.
• Secure the power cord to the cord
winding compartment.
• Keep the appliance in a dry and cool
place away from children.
