when opening lids or wrap-
ping foil.
• Do not immerse the appliance,
power cord, or power plug in
water or other liquids. Do not
keep it under running water.
Containers
• CAUTION: Risk of Injury!
• Refer to the instructions in
the section "Containers that
can or cannot be used in the
microwave oven". There may
be some non-metal containers
that are not safe to use in the
microwave. If you have any
doubts, you can test the con-
tainer in question by following
the procedure below.
• Ideal material for appliances
to be used in microwave is
microwave permeable mate-
rial. These allow energy to
pass through the container
and heat the food.
• Microwave cannot pass
through metal. Therefore,
metal appliances or metal
decorated plates must not be
used.
• Do not use recycled paper
products during cooking in
microwave as they might con-
tain small metal pieces that
will cause sparks and/or fire.
• Use of round/oval plates
is recommended instead of
square/rectangle plates as
food in the corners tend to be
cooked more.
• There may be certain metal-
free kitchen utensils that are
not safe to use in a microwave
oven. Kitchen utensils that
can and cannot be used in
a microwave oven are listed
below. But if in doubt, you
can test the relevant kitchen
appliance by following the
procedure below.
