Google Home
Manage homes and rooms in the
Google Home app. Highlight Google
Home and press OK to view detailed
information. You can manage the
settings later via the Google Home
mobile app.
Google Assistant
Speak commands to your TV, ask to
play your shows or movies. Highlight
Google Assistant and press OK to
view detailed information. You can
manage the settings later using the
Voice control option in the Setting-
s>Accounts and sign-in>“your ac-
count”>Google Assistant menu.
Help improve Google TV
Automatically send diagnostic infor-
mation to Google, like crash reports
and usage data from your device and
apps. Highlight Help improve Google
TV and press OK to view detailed in-
formation and turn this feature on or
o. You can change this setting later
using the Settings>Privacy>Usage &
diagnostics menu.
Updates and apps
Automatically download and install
updates and apps from Google and
your device’s manufacturer. Some
of these apps may oer in-app pur-
chases. You can remove these apps
at any time. Highlight Updates and
apps and press OK to view detailed
information. You can manage the
app settings later using the Manage
Updates option in the Settings>Pri-
vacy menu.
Recommendations and ads
Google TV uses your account info
and your activity on Google TV and
other Google products and services
to improve recommendations, and to
personalise ads (when personalised
ads are on) (*). This info and
activity will also be used to improve
recommendations and personalise ads
on other Google products. You can
view and control ads personalisation
and data shared between Google
products, and learn more about
personalised recommendations.
Highlight Recommandations and
ads and press OK to view detailed
information.
(*) Ads are not personalised if the age
associated with the signed-in account
is under 18 years old.
9. Search across all your TV apps
If you have signed in to your Google
account in the previous steps, you
can allow Assistant to search across
all your TV apps. Highlight Allow or
No, thanks and press OK to continue.
10. Choose your services
In this step of the initial setup, you can
choose which services and applications
to install during the setup. Your
choices will be saved and used for
recommendations. Highlight the
services and apps and press OK to
select or unselect. When you are done,
