or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid hazard.
1.3 Appliance-specific safety
precautions
▪ Children aged 3 to 8 years
are allowed to load and un-
load refrigerating appliances.
▪ WARNING: Keep ventilation
openings, in the appliance
enclosure or in the built-in
structure, clear of obstruction.
1.4 Appliance installation
▪ The appliance must be installed by
qualified persons.
▪ Each stage of the installation process
must be performed and checked in full
and in the order specified.
▪ WARNING: To avoid hazards due to the
instability of the appliance, the appli-
ance must be secured as described in
the installation instructions.
▪ Electrical connections must be carried
out by qualified personnel in accord-
ance with the guidelines and standards
for low-voltage installations and the spe-
cifications of the local electricity supply
companies.
▪ A plug-in appliance may only be con-
nected to a socket outlet with an earth-
ing contact, installed according to spe-
cifications. An all-pole mains separating
device with a 3mm contact opening
should be provided in the domestic wir-
ing system. Switches, plug and socket
devices, circuit breakers and fusible
cut-outs that are accessible after install-
ation and have all-pole switching are
permissible as isolating devices. Effect-
ive earthing and separately installed
neutral and earth conductors ensure
safe and fault-free operation. After in-
stallation, live parts and cables with ba-
sic insulation must not be accessible.
Check old installations.
▪ Refer to the identification plate for in-
formation on the required mains
voltage, current type and fuse protec-
tion.
▪ No action is required to adapt the appli-
ance to a mains frequency of 50 or 60
Hz.
▪ All plastering, plasterboarding, wallpa-
pering or painting work must be carried
out prior to installing the appliance.
▪ Efficient repairs can only be guaranteed
if it is possible to uninstall the complete
appliance at any time without causing
any damage.
▪ The ice cube maker (depending on the
model) requires a connection to the do-
mestic water supply. Only use the water
inlet hose with 3/4" inch thread sup-
plied for this. Existing hose sets must
not be reused. The water pressure must
be between 0.05MPa and 0.5MPa
(between 0.5bar and 5bar). Other op-
erating pressure values can result in op-
erating faults or leaks in the hydraulic
circuit.
▪ WARNING: The appliance must only be
supplied with potable water.
▪ The appliance must be connected to
the drinking water network in accord-
ance with the regulations applicable in
the country where the appliance is in-
stalled.
▪ The installation of a water filter is re-
commended, especially if the water
quality is poor, but is not strictly neces-
sary.
