Appendix B – USB Power Interface and Contact Closure Script Start
Besides Power Over Ethernet, the LSS-200 can also be powered by a 5VDC power supply driving a mini-USB connector. A standard USB to
mini-USB cable can be used. These can be used to power the LSS-200 and use contact closures to start scripts.

To power the LSS-200 over USB, just use a standard mini-USB to standard USB cable to connect the LSS-200 to a USB power supply (often called
a “charger”).
To use contact closure script start, momentarily (500 ms) short the D- wire to ground to start script 0. Momentarily short the D+ wire to ground to
start script 1. Momentarily short both D- and D+ to ground to start script 2. Use of contact closure script start is now rarely used on the LSS-200.
Instead, the white flash script start method is used.
