Opening'the'SMS'

% The%USL%screen%management%application%is%opened%via%the%SMS%application%icon,%which%may%be%

Figure%3+1.%%For%the%application%to%discover%and%connect%to%CMS+2200%systems%it%must%be%o n %th e %
management%network%with%the%CMS+2200%units.%

The%Discov e r%tab%allows%the%SMS%application %to%disco ve r%all%CM S+2200%units%currently%located%on%a%
network.%%To%start%the%discovery%process,%enter%a%starting%and%ending%IP%address%into%the%address%boxes.%%
In%Figure%3+1%the%starting%IP%is%shown %as%10.204.48.0%and%the%end ing%IP%is%10.204.48.255.%%Four%CMS+2200%
units%have%been%discovered%and%are%shown%with%their%IP%addresses.%

Clicking %the%Start%button%will%initiate%a%scan%of%all%of%the%IP%addresses%in%the%range.%%Any%CMS+2200%units%
located%in %t h is%IP %a d dr es s%ra nge %w ill%be%iden tified .%%The%Stop%button%may%be%used%to%terminate%the%scan%
early%if%desired.%Below%the%Discover%box,%are%two%buttons%used%to%complete%the%process.%%The%Add%
Selected%button%will%add%a%specific%CMS+2200%and%the%Add'All%button%will%automatically%add%all%of%the%
discovered%media%servers.%
