Keep the contact surfaces of
the battery free of dust and
lubricants� Clean the contact
surfaces with a clean, dry cloth
as necessary�
z Operation
First connect the red quick contact
connector clamp

to the positive
terminal (“+”) of the battery�
Then connect the black quick contact
connector clamp

to the negative
terminal (“-”) of the battery�
During the measurement process, the
device can be fixed to the vehicle body
using the magnetic strips

on the back
of the device�
z Testing batteries and alternators
z Select operating mode
The device automatically detects whether
a 6 V or 12 V battery is connected�
If this function does not work (e�g� dis-
charged 12 V battery is detected as a 6 V
battery), then set the selector switch

on
the front of the device to 6 V or 12 V,
depending on the type of battery or
alternator to be tested�
z Battery test/Starting capability
If only the “very low charged” LED lights up,
the battery charge level is low� In this LED
status the electrical voltage in 6 Volt operat
