Simple Setup with Echo Device
STEP 1
• Make sure to rst set up your Echo device.
STEP 2
• Power on your smart bulb and get close to echo. Go to Step 3
if your Echo or Alexa app noties “First light found”.
• Otherwise, refer to the troubleshooting guide.
STEP 3
• Once you’ve completed setup, you can use your smart bulb
with Alexa. Just say “Alexa, set rst light to blue”.
Troubleshooting Guide
Follow the steps below to manually set up your smart bulb and
enable Alexa voice control.
1. Manual Bulb Setup via The Tapo App
Open the Tapo app and tap the + icon to start the manual setup
process.
2. Linking Tapo to Alexa
On your Tapo app, go to Me > Third-Party Services, select
Amazon Alexa, and follow the app guidance to complete the
connection.
