6.4 Set up Google TV
6.4.1 Set up with the Google Home App
To set up with the Google Home app, it is necessary to have a mobile device (smartphone or
tablet) with the Google Home app installed. To install the Google Home app, please scan the QR
code on your TV or search for Google Home in the app store on your mobile device. If the
Google Home app is already installed on your mobile device, open it and follow the instructions
on your TV and mobile device. The setup of the TV via the Google Home application on your
mobile device should not be interrupted.
Note: Some mobile devices with the latest Android OS version are not fully compatible with the
installation of Google TV via Google Home App. Therefore, we recommend the installation
option Set up on TV.
6.4.2 Set up on TV
To utilize the many advantages of your Google TV, your TV must be connected to the Internet.
You can connect your TV to your modem/router wirelessly via Wi-Fi or by cable.
Your internet connection will be automatically detected and displayed if you have connected
your TV with the modem/router directly to the cable.
If you want to connect your TV to the internet wirelessly via Wi-Fi, press the up/down directional
buttons to select the desired WLAN network, enter the password and then press Confirm to
establish the connection. If you select Skip because you want to set up your TV as a Basic TV,
you can configure the internet connection later in the TV Settings menu.
