CUPS AND BALLS — MAGIC POCKET

Place the three cups in a line upside down on the table with a hidden ball in the middle cup. Take another ball and lift the

middle cup up slightly from behind (be careful that the audience does not see the hidden ball) and place the ball inside.

Say, “One.” Take another ball and put it into the cup in the same way saying, “Two”. Put the third ball in your pocket. Place

the left and right cups on top of the middle one, pretend as if you are passing something from your pocket to the cups, lift

the three cups up together and the audience will see that the ball has travelled from your pocket and appeared with the

other balls on the table.

CUPS AND BALLS — GRANDE FINALE

Place a fabric pompom (ball) in your right pocket. To do this trick you have to be able to perform the previous trick

“Cups and Balls — Magic Hand” really well. At the moment that you put the third ball in your pocket (right hand), take

the ball back out, but be careful that no one can see it. Lift the cups from the spectator’s hand with your left hand. Take

advantage of the audience’s surprise to pass the three cups together upside down from your left hand to your right hand

and leave them on the table, at the same time leaving the hidden ball under them. Tap on the cups, say the magic words,

“Abracadabra”, lift the three cups together, showing the ball.

THE BOTTOMLESS CUP

Here’s a quick trick that can be performed after another trick with one of your cups. Hold the cup in your left hand with

the opening facing to the right. Pick up the wand with your right hand. Place your index nger along the wand (pointing in

the same direction as the wand). Insert the wand into the cup twice, audibly making contact with the back of the cup. On

the third time, pretend to insert the wand into the cup but instead insert it between the edge of the cup and your left hand.

Make sure to completely insert your index nger into the cup. From the front, it will look like the magic wand is passing

through the bottom of the cup.

THE DISAPPEARING CUP

Before the performance secretly place an elastic band around the top of the cup. Put a handkerchief over the ngers of

your right hand and put the cup upside down on top of it. Slide the elastic band off the cup, so that it is now on your ngers.

Put the palm of your left-hand on the bottom of the cup and turn everything over. The cup will be in your left hand while the

handkerchief (by means of the elastic band) covers the ngers of your right hand, which are inside the cup. The cup can

now be held comfortably in your half closed left st as it comes out from under the hanky. The rubber band will make it look

as though you are holding the cup with your right hand. Go into a box or hat on your table and bring out the wand, having

hiding the cup in the process. Tap your right hand with the wand and pull away the hanky. The cup has disappeared.

THE JUMPING BALL

A ball leaps between two cups. This is a great trick to get people laughing. Take two cups and a ball from your magic box.

Drop the ball into one of the cups and hold the other cup as the picture shows. When you blow into the cup that holds the

ball, the ball will pop out and you can catch it in the other cup.

THREE CUP RIDDLE

Take the three cups and place them on the table upside down. Tell your audience that you are able to turn the three cups
