through the upper right
corner toward the back.
Continue to the bottom
right corner, pulling the
thread back through to the
front. You don’t need to be
told which corner to insert
the needle through next —
after all, it’s called
cross-stitch!

In our example, we just
need to stitch one X with
the pink thread. Now we’ll
show you how to bury the
thread on the back.
Guide the needle under the
thread that runs from top
to bottom. Then guide the
needle a second time under
the thread and pass it
through the resulting loop.
This will make a little knot
to secure the end of the
thread in place.
Cut off the thread and
continue with the next
color.
