Cuttings 14 Days
In addition to growing from
seeds as you saw before,
plants can also grow from cut-
tings. Each cutting should have at least
one bud or leaf above it. In water,
roots will form, and the new plant can
then be planted in fresh soil.
Not all plants are suited
for growing from cuttings,
though. Try it with grapes,
spider plants, rosemary,
lavender, roses, philoden-
dron, or begonias. Watch
out for thorns!
Cut a dandelion stem into
little pieces and place them on
a damp paper towel. You will
be astounded to see how new
plants can grow out of these
little plant pieces too.
