After a few days, you will
clearly see the roots growing
downward. Now, turn the dome
upside down so the roots point
up. You will observe that the
sprouts can tell the difference
between up and down, and the
roots will soon start growing
downward again!
It’s easy to observe the
beans sprouting through the
transparent wall. After a
few days, little roots will make their
appearance out of a tiny hole in the
side of the bean.
You will be able to do
more bean experiments
soon. Take a look at
Experiment 12.
