Gurgling belly
YOU WILL NEED
WHAT’S HAPPENING
There are all sorts of things going
on in your stomach, too! What you
hear are noises that happen during
digestion. As food moves through
your body and gets broken down
into smaller and smaller pieces
and turned into things your body
needs, gases and air bubbles are
formed — so it’s completely
normal for you to hear gurgling
and rumbling sounds in your
belly! Your stomach even
grumbles when it’s empty. It
keeps on working all the time,
and when there’s no more food
left in it, it will work on air!
That’s when you’ll hear it growl.
