Put the tray into the refrigerator
and let the gummies solidify for
ten to fifteen minutes.

with the green apple (green) mix.

fill the remaining space in the
molds that are partially filled
with red mixture. Fill the molds
completely.

Follow steps 7 through 10
of Experiment 1 (One-Color
Gummies) to harden the gummies
and remove them from the molds,
coat them in the optional sour
mix, and package them.

Experiment with colors!
Red and green are complimentary colors, which means that
they are opposite each other on a color wheel. Complimentary
colors tend to look good next to each other, so they are called a
color harmony.
The gummy mixes are colored with dyes.
When complimentary dyes mix together, they create
browns. Try different ways of filling the tray in steps 6 and
9. What happens if you layer the colors on top of each other,
instead of side by side?
Step 7 tells you to put the gummy tray in the refrigerator
to let the red mixture solidify before adding the green
mixture. What happens if you try adding the green to one of
the molds before the red solidifies?
