them again so that they match.

turning the cards over.

YOU WILL NEED

→ chromosome sheet (set B)

→ plastic bag

→ scissors

With Trisomy 21, the 21st

chromosome appears

three times.

This set of chromosomes has not two, but

three copies of the st chromosome. That

is a sign of a hereditary disease with the

name Trisomy . About one out of every

 children naturally comes into the

world with this condition, also known as

Down Syndrome.
