Hanging garden

You will need:

Planted drink cartons, nails, hammer

Here’s how:

Where to put the pots? Of course, you

could put them in a tree planting (see

page 13) or set a saucer under them

and place them on a windowsill.

Or how about a construction site

garden? Lots of big construction

projects will have a fence around the

site that stands for months or even

years — ideal for hanging your ﬂower

pots! Ask someone to hammer the

nails into the fence for you.

And as always: Ask ﬁrst, so there’s no

problem later!

Fill the pots with soil and press down

the soil a little. Now you can sow your

favorite ﬂowers in them. But keep in

mind the amount of room that the

plant will need as it grows. Herbs are

ideal, as are single radishes or small

marigolds.
