Put the tray into the refrigerator

and let the gummies solidify for

ten to ﬁfteen minutes.

Here’s how it continues:

Now repeat steps 1 through 5, but

with the mixed berry (pink) mix.

Spoon the pink mixture to ﬁll the

remaining space in the dinosaur

molds that are partially ﬁlled

with green mixture. Fill the

molds completely.

Follow steps 7 through 10

of Experiment 1 (One-Color

Dinosaurs) to harden the

gummies and remove them from

the molds, coat them in the

optional sour mix, and package

them.

Experiment with colors!

Pink and green are complimentary colors, which means that

they are opposite each other on a color wheel. Complimentary

colors tend to look good next to each other, so they are called a

color harmony.

The gummy mixes are colored with dyes. When

complimentary dyes mix together, they create browns.

Try different ways of ﬁlling the tray in steps 6 and 9. What

happens if you layer the colors on top of each other, instead

of side by side?

Step 7 tells you to put the gummy tray in the refrigerator

to let the green mixture solidify before adding the pink

mixture. What happens if you try adding the pink to one of

the dinosaurs before the green solidiﬁes?
