“I have an idea. Plants need soil, water, light, and air to grow,”

started Barbie. “So if we make lile bundles of soil and seeds, we

could spread them around outside and the rain and sunlight would

cause the seeds to grow. We could throw them anywhere.”

“And if we used ﬂower seeds,” added Nikki, “then it would be like

spreading lile bundles of joy around the neighborhood when the

ﬂowers bloomed.”

“I know how to make something like this. We call them seed

bombs,” said Jane. “I’ll show you. We just need to be careful where we

throw them, in case people don’t want ﬂowering plants in those spots!

We can use seeds for annuals, which only live for one growing season,

so we don’t introduce invasive species into the local ecosystem.”
