• Do not let water or any other liquid get into the air vents to
avoid damage to the inner parts of the appliance.
• The following pieces may be washed in a dishwasher
(using a soft cleaning program) or soapy hot water:
- Measuring spoon
- Drip tray grill
- Drip tray
- Water tank
• After washing, dry all parts before its assembly and
storage.
CLEANING THE STEAMER PIPE
• CAUTION! The steamer pipe and its parts can be VERY
HOT.
• It is recommended that you rinse and clean the steamer
pipe after steaming milk to prevent dirt build-up and
before switching off the machine.
• To do this, ll a cup with a little water and dip the steam
pipe in it.
• Run hot water through the tube, following the instructions
in ‘Getting hot water’.
• Dry the steamer with a cloth.
• If steam does not come out of the steamer pipe, there
may be curdled milk blocking its passage.
• Carefully use a needle, toothpick or similar to loosen the
milk residue from the steamer pipe opening and remove
any blockage.
• Once clean, rinse under running tap water and
reassemble. Then steam again.
HOW TO DEAL WITH LIME SCALE INCRUSTATIONS
• For the appliance to work properly, it must be kept free of
limescale or magnesium deposits caused by the use of
hard water.
• To avoid this type of problem, we recommend that you
use water with a low lime or magnesium content.
• However, if it is not possible to use the type of water
recommended above, you should regularly remove the
limescale from the appliance:
- Every 6 weeks if the water is “very hard”.
- Every 12 weeks if the water is “hard”.
• A special anti-limescale product should be used on this
type of product.
• Homemade solutions, such as vinegar, are not
recommended for descaling this appliance.
