Network: Email Configuration
Email: Click the checkbox to enable you to receive email alerts (you will still
receive a password reset request if this is disabled).
Setup: Leave this on the default setting when using a Gmail or Outlook email
address or click the drop-down menu and select “Manual” if you would like
to use the email from your service provider.
Sender: Input a name for your email account, for example, MY DVR.
Receiver 1/2/3: Input the email address(es) to send email alerts to.
Test Email: Click to verify the information is correct, then click “OK”. A mes-
sage will appear if the test has been successful. Click “OK” to continue.
When selecting “Manual”, you will see the following options:
Encryption: Leave this on “Auto” to ensure your DVR will always use the cor-
rect encryption for your email provider.
SMTP Port: Enter the port number, for example, 00587.
SMTP Server: Enter the email server, for example, mail.iinet.net.au.
User Name: Input the email user name for your account.
Password: Input the email password for your account. Click the “Show Pass-
word” checkbox to show or hide your password.
Interval: This is the length of time that must elapse after your DVR sends an
email alert before it will send another. Adjust accordingly.

Why is an email address required? Input-
ting an email address is a requirement in the
Startup Wizard. This is so your NVR can send
you a password reset request if you have for-
gotten your password. Both Gmail (see below)
and Outlook are supported. You can also use
the email from your service provider, providing
you know the settings to be used. Alerts can
also be sent to your email.
→ Click “Default” to revert to default settings.
→ Click “Apply” to save settings.
