2.4 Memory Support and Installation
Important: Exercise extreme care when installing or removing memory modules to prevent
any damage.
Note: Check the Supermicro website for recommended memory modules.
General Guidelines for Optimizing Memory Performance

Use only 6400 MT/s rated DDR5 memory.
l
DIMMs must be all DDR5 RDIMM, 3DS RDIMM, or MRDIMM.
l
All DIMMs must operate at the same speed per processor socket.
l
Density mixing is not allowed.
l
Frequency mixing is not allowed.
l
Rank mixing is not allowed.
Memory Support
The X14DBT-FAP/-FLAP motherboard supports ECC DDR5 memory with speeds rated 6400
MT/s (1DPC) and MRDIMM memory with speeds up to 8800 MT/s (1DPC) in 12 DIMM slots per
processor.
To enhance memory performance and ensure system stability, do not mix memory modules of
different speeds, different sizes, and different types in your server.
Note: Memory speed/capacity support depends on the processors used in the system.
