Chapter 2: Server Installation

Important: Do not pick up the server with the front handles. They are designed to pull the

system from a rack only.

3. After pushing the enclosure all the way into the rack, use the thumbscrew on each side

of the server to lock it into place.

Removing the Chassis from the Rack

Caution! It is dangerous for a single person to o󰀨-load the heavy chassis from the rack without

assistance. Be sure to have su󰀩cient assistance supporting the chassis when removing it

from the rack. Use a lift.

1. Pull the chassis forward out the front of the rack until it stops.

2. Press the release latches on each of the inner rails downward simultaneously and

contiue to pull the chassis forward and out of the rack.
