1.2 Platform Overview
Built upon the functionality and capability of the Intel
®
Atom SoC series processor, the A4SAN-
H/-E/-L/-WOHS motherboard offers maximum I/O expandability, energy efficiency, and data
reliability in a 10-nm process architecture, and is optimized for embedded storage solutions,
networking applications, or cloud-computing platforms. The A4SAN-H/-E/-L/-WOHS drastically
increases system performance for a multitude of server applications.
The A4SAN-H/-E/-L/-WOHS supports the following features:

The A4SAN-H/-E/-L motherboard is a 3.5" Single Board Computer (4.01" x 5.75") powered by
the Intel Processor N Series and the Intel Atom X7000 series processors. These processors
have a core configuration of up to 8 cores and an Intel UHD Graphics Gen12 with up to 32 EUs.
DDR5 memory with support for In-Band Error Correction Code (IBECC) memory helps achieve
reliable multitasking.
The A4SAN also features advanced technologies such as accelerated deep learning including
Intel Deep Learning Boost (Intel DL Boost), Intel Advanced Vector Extensions (Intel AVX2) with
INT8 support and media processing for IoT edge applications like digital signage, POS
systems, and more. Support of the OpenVINO™ toolkit also delivers optimized performance
while helping developers speed up time to market with pre-trained AI models for common use
cases.
The A4SAN features a rich I/O interface including dual 2.5G LAN ports, one M.2 M-Key PCIe
3.0 x1/SATA 6Gb/s slot in the 2242/2280 form factor, one M.2 E-Key PCIe 3.0 x1/USB 2.0/Intel
CNVi slot in the 2230 form factor, one M.2 B-Key SATA 6Gb/s or PCIe 3.0 x1/USB 3.0/USB 2.0
