Chapter 1

Introduction

1.1 Overview

This chapter provides a brief outline of the functions and features of the A+ Workstation

AS -5014A-TT. In addition to the M12SWA-TF motherboard and CSE-GS7A-000NBP chassis,

parts included with the system are listed below.

Note: The following safety models associated with the AS -5014A-TT have been certied as

compliant with CSA or UL models: GS7A-20 and GS7A-S20M12.

1.2 Unpacking the System

Inspect the box in which the workstation was shipped and note if it was damaged in any way.

If any equipment appears damaged, le a damage claim with the carrier who delivered it.

Refer to Section 1.8 for Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) instructions.

Decide on a suitable location that will hold the workstation. It should be situated in a

clean, dust-free area that is well ventilated. Avoid areas where heat, electrical noise and

electromagnetic elds are generated. It will also require a grounded AC power outlet nearby.
