b. Mix the finish paint according to the paint model and the requirements of Table 9-7
Finish Paint Selection and Mixing.
c. Apply the finish paint using a brush in a crosshatch pattern. Once the paint fully dried,
measure the film thickness using a film thickness meter. Ensure that the single coat
thickness falls between 50μm–100μm.
d. When applying multiple layers of paint, wait for each layer to dry completely before
applying the next. The total thickness of the primer and finish paint must be at least
240μm.
Step 5 Inspect the paint to ensure it has a uniform color, smooth transitions, and meets the
required film thickness.

9.5.3 Double-Layer Paint Repair
Prerequisite
If the rusted area is large, or there are deep scratches or dents that expose the base
material, perform a double-layer paint repair, including both a primer and a finish paint.
