REMOTE SWITCH INSTALLATION
NOTE: Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer/
electrician WARNING:
To avoid fire or electrical shock, turn off the power at the circuit breaker. Test to ensure
that the power is off before starting the wiring.
MOUNTING THE SWITCH BOX
Install a single gang-recessed switch box at a convenient location.
NOTE: If installing this switch in accordance with ADA guidelines, the height of the
light switch must be no lower than 15” from the floor and no higher than 48” from the
floor. Additional regulations apply if there are any obstructions in front of the switch.

Accessible Design at ada.gov.
INSTALLING THE MAIN POWER SUPPLY
Attach the power cable located in the back of the unit.
Open the access panel on the underside of the hood by removing the Phillips screw.
Remove the grease filter.
WIRING
CONNECTING UNIT TO REMOTE SWITCH
Run a wire from the male plug to the power supply and then from the power supply to
the remote switch. Once the wiring has been done, attach the remote switch to the wall
and the unit will be ADA-compliant.
Close the access panel.
NOTE: If the range hood is installed in its ADA configuration, the light and fan speed
controls must be set at your preferred settings, since the wiring of the range hood itself
will not be modified.
