23.1 Blower
WARNING
■ To reduce the risk of personal injury from unin‐
tended activation, remove the batteries before
inspecting the blower or carrying out any
maintenance,
7.1.
To properly maintain the blower:
► Inspect the intake screen of the blower and
replace if damaged.
► Have worn, missing or damaged safety labels
replaced by an authorized STIHL servicing
dealer.

24.1 Blower and Batteries
Always remove the batteries before carrying out any inspection, cleaning or maintenance.

► Allow the blower to cool down.
► Do not switch on the blower

switched on.
No electrical con‐
tact between
blower and bat‐
teries.

Remove the batteries, 15.2.
► Visually check the electrical
contacts in the batteries com‐
partments and on the batter‐
ies.
►
Reinsert the batteries, 15.1.
1 LED on the
charge state indi‐
cator flashes
green.
1 LED
flashes
green.
One or both bat‐
teries has low
charge.
►
Charge the batteries, 10.
1 LED glows
red.
One or both bat‐
teries too hot / too
cold.
► Allow the batteries to warm up
or cool down gradually at
ambient temperatures of about
50 °F to 68 °F (10 °C to
20 °C).
Fault indicator
flashes red.
3 LEDs flash
red.
Malfunction in
blower.
► Remove the batteries and rein‐
sert it, 15
►
Switch on the blower, 16.1.
► If the LEDs still flash, do not
attempt to use.
The blower has a malfunction
and must be checked by a
servicing dealer.

The blower is too
hot.
►
Remove the batteries, 15.2.
► Allow the blower to cool down.
