7.2 Removing the Battery

► Depress both locking hooks (1).
The battery (2) is now unlocked and can be
removed.

8.1 Switching on the pruning
shears
► Hold the pruning shears firmly with one hand
on the control handle. Wrap your thumb
around the handle and operate the trigger with
your index finger.

Press and hold the pushbutton (1)
until a
long beep sounds.
The display switches on, and the pruning
shears are ready for operation.
► Press the trigger (2) twice in quick succession.
You will hear three short beeps. The cutting
blade (3) opens fully.
The pruning shears switch off automatically if
they are not operated for more than 2 minutes.
► Switch the pruning shears on again.

► Press and hold the trigger (2).
A short beep will sound after 3 seconds.
► Press the trigger (2) and keep it pressed until
three short beeps sound.
The cutting blade (1) closes and remains
closed.
► If the cutting blade does not close: Remove
the battery and contact a STIHL authorized
dealer.
The pruning shears are defective.
►
Press and hold the pushbutton (3)
until a
long beep sounds.
The display switches off, and the pruning
shears are switched off.
NOTICE
■ If the trigger is released before three short
beeps sound, the cutting blade opening width
may be displaced and the cutting blade will not
close.
►
To close the blade, press the trigger (2) and
keep it pressed for at least 5 seconds until
three short beeps sound.
9 Testing the Pruning Shears
and Battery
9.1 Checking the controls
Trigger
► Remove the battery.
► Depress the trigger.
► If the trigger is stiff or does not spring back to
its idle position: Do not use the pruning shears
and contact a STIHL authorized dealer for
assistance.
The trigger is defective.
Switching on the pruning shears
► Insert the battery.
