NOTE
• For optimal temperature stability, make sure the base tray and sample container do
not contact the sides of the chamber during operation.
• Always use the handle to lift the lid, as other parts may become hot.
• Keep the vent/thermometer hole unsealed to prevent pressure buildup inside the bath.
Instrument Placement
Position the water bath on a level, non-combustible surface, and make sure that both the mains plug
and switch are easily accessible.
Electrical Supply
• Verify that the supply voltage and the type of mains plug match your mains outlet, which
must be grounded.
• To disconnect the equipment, remove the mains plug from the outlet.
Proper Usage
Avoid Operating the Bath Without Water
• Always ensure there is water in the chamber before operating the bath. Running the bath dry can
shorten the lifespan of key components.
• The bath is equipped with a dry-start protection mechanism that typically detects this condition and
prevents further heating.
In case of a dry start, the bath will display a warning and sound an alarm. If this protection program fails to
detect the dry heating, a built-in safety temperature cut-out switch will activate and stop the heating when the
bath reaches a certain temperature.
NOTE
• The dry-start protection program is enabled by default. To turn it off, refer to section
Setting the Dry-Start Protection Alarm.
• If a dry start occurs, the chamber's internal surface may become very hot, even if the
safety cut-out has worked.
• Avoid touching the chamber until it has cooled down.
Filling the Baths
For safe operation, do not fill the bath with water while it is heating. If additional water is needed, switch off
the power before filling. If adding water triggers a safety warning during heating, restart the machine to clear
the warning.
Emptying the Baths
Before emptying the bath, disconnect it from the power supply and remove the plug. Allow the water to cool to
a safe temperature and take precautions to prevent accidental spillage.
The drainage operation is as follows:
1. Insert the drain pipe into the drain port, following the direction indicated in the figure below.
