15. Always pay attention to the load.
16. Do not leave a hanging load unattended.
17. Never exceed the permissible lifting capacity.
18. Never store the machine with a payload attached to it.
19. Avoid situations in which the load could swing.
20. Lift only one load at a time.
21. This machine is not designed for permanent load lifting.
22. Pay particular attention to factors reducing the magnetic attraction force (such as materials which do not conduct
the magnetic eld, coarseness and shape of surface, temperature, the ratio of ferromagnetic material to steel, and that
the lifted material must be thick enough to completely absorb the stream of the magnetic eld).
23. Never introduce any modications to the machine.
24. Do not conduct mechanical or similar works (welding, cutting, etc.) on a hanging load.
25. After completion of work, the machine must be secured against unauthorised use.
26. The machine must be regularly controlled and its damaged or worn and torn parts must be replaced with new ones
by an authorised service.
27. Load drop poses risk of injury or death.
28. When transporting and moving magnetic hoists from storage location to application location make sure to follow the
occupational health and safety rules applicable for manual transportation work in the country in which the magnetic
hoists are operated.
Failure to follow safety recommendations and instructions may result in serious injuries or death!
III. INTENDED USE OF THE MACHINE
Magnetic hoists are lifting machines that generate a high force of magnetic attraction with the use of a xed magnet. They are
designed for the temporary lifting and moving of loads made of ferromagnetic metals. These machines require no internal
or external source of power. Switching the magnetic eld on or off is done by changing the position of the manual lever. The
magnetic eld of the hoist is generated by sintered neodymium magnets. The force of attraction and nominal lifting capacity
are used when these forces work perpendicularly to the magnetic surface of the hoist. The force of attraction is also affected
by the features of the material, the thickness of the payload and the non-magnetic material separating the magnet’s surface
from the payload’s surface. For maximum force of attraction, it is necessary to ensure the surface of the lifted material is
clean and there is no gap between it and the magnet’s surface. The surface of the payload must be at and must fully cover
the magnetic surface of the hoist. Magnetic hoists are very comfortable and easy to use. They are ideal for application at
construction sites, storage facilities, workshops, steel storage yards and wherever they may come in handy to handle metal
sheets, slabs and other steel elements.
