3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
a) Use only non-corrosive cleaners to clean the surface.
b) After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
completely before using it again.
c) Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
d) Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge
it in water.
e) The device must be regularly inspected to check its
technical eciency and spot any damage.
f) Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
g) Use caution when cleaning the lens. Do not touch
the lens elements with your ngers.
4) Calculate the value of b2' based on the
measurements:
b2'=a2-(a1-b1)
If b2'= b2, this means that the aiming line is correctly
levelled. Otherwise, it should be adjusted. The
permissible deviation is | b2'-b2 | <3mm
5) To adjust the aiming line, remove the eyepiece cover
and turn the adjusting screw with an adjusting pin
until the maximum deviation is | b2'-b2 | <3mm.
3) Position the device at a distance of 2 m from point A.
Measure the values "a2" and "b2" from the rules, as
shown in the drawing below.

2) Aim the device rst at one, then at the other ruler.
Measure the values "a1" and "b1" from the rules as
shown in the gure below. Calculate the dierence
between "a1" and "b1”.
