Working load limits are based upon equally loaded and disposed product chain legs.
Product consists of the main ring, connecting link, chain and hook. All accessories are heat treated
and some of them paint coated.
Limitations on the use of the chain sling due to adverse environmental conditions or hazardous
conditions. Any limitations on the use of the chain sling due to the following shall be given:
a) This product should be used in the environment where relative temperature does not exceed
the -40 to +200
o
C. Any environment that exceeds this temperature span is not allowed.
b) The product should not be used near the heat sources, in humid rain, and where corrosive
chemicals or products are present.
c) It is prohibited from knotting, entangling, twisting chains and buckles.
d) The product should be used verticall only.
e) Multi-chains should be used within the prescribed angle. Do not use out of angle - see the
table above.
Precautions before use
a) The product needs to be checked before use, such as rigging load, rigging length, chain
diameter, inner length, inner width, hook opening size and other information or data on the
nameplate.
b) The operator needs to have appropriate qualifications.
c) The operator must clearly see the working load and scope of application on the sign,
overloading is strictly prohibited. Visual inspection of the product must be performed and it
can be used only after compliance.
d) Under normal usage, the hoisting angle is the key to affecting the load. Max hoist angle must
be within 120 degrees, otherwise chain sling will be partially overloaded.
e) It is forbidden to use informal connectors between the product.
f) It is forbidden to hang the load-bearing chain rigging directly on the components of the
crane hook or wrap it around the hook.
g) When the product surrounds the hanging object, add padding at the corners to prevent the
ring chain and the hanging object from being damaged.
h) Temperature has certain influence on the use of the product. When temperature is
In the allowed range, the rated load is 90% of the given rated load. When the temperature is
between 200 degrees and 300 degrees, it is 90% of the rated load. When it is between 400
degrees, it is 75% of the rated load.
i) Hoisting point of hook is required to be on the same vertical line as the center of gravity of
the hoisting weight, so that the hoisting weight is in a stable and balanced state to prevent
sliding or overturning during lifting.
j) Twisting, turning and knotting between the product is prohibited, and adjacent chain
activities should be flexible.
k) When loading heavy objects, lifting-, lowering- and stopping-moves should be performed
slowly and steady. Pay attention to the balance of the center of gravity of the objects to be
lifted, avoid impact loads and do not hang heavy objects on the chain for a long time.
l) The product should be handled with care. It is strictly forbidden to beat, touch and drag it on
the ground. It is necessary to prevent falling from a height to avoid deformation of the chain,
surface and internal damage.
m) Strictly forbidden to use the product in hot-dip galvanizing or a pickling tank!
