Key

Used to send a DSC Distress Call. To send the distress call refer to section

“11.3.1 (Transmitting A DSC Distress Call).”

ACCESSORY CONNECTION CABLE

Connects the GX1500S to a GPS and an external speaker.

DC INPUT CABLE

Connects the radio to a DC power supply capable of delivering 12V DC.

ANTENNA JACK

Connects an antenna to the transceiver. Use a marine VHF antenna with an

impedance of 50 ohms.

REMOTE MIC CONNECTOR

Connects the GX1500S to the enhanced RAM+ MIC (Remote Access Mi-

crophone) or the VH-310 Handset. Refer to section “13 ENHANCED RAM+

MIC OPERATION” or “14 VH-310 HEADSET OPERATION” for details.

PTT (Push-To-Talk) SWITCH

Keys the transmitter when the transceiver is in radio mode. If the transceiver

is in the intercom mode (between the RAM+ or VH-310 Headset and the

GX1500S), or PA mode, it activates the GX1500S microphone for voice

communications.
