Additional Safety DOs
and DON’Ts

☐ Do not use a power line
operated LCD Display near
water; for example, near a
bathtub, washbowl, kitchen
sink, laundry tub, wet
basement or near a
swimming pool, etc.
☐ Do not install the LCD
Display in a location where
sulfur is present (e.g., hot springs). This may
cause a fire, electric shock or damage to
your LCD Display.
VENTILATION
The ventilation openings in the LCD Display
are necessary to ensure reliable operation of
the LCD Display and to protect it from
overheating.
☐ Do not block or cover the
ventilation openings with
cloth or other materials.
☐ Never place the LCD Display
on a bed, sofa, rug or other
similar surface where
ventilation openings may be
blocked.
☐ Unless proper ventilation is provided, the
LCD Display may accumulate dust and
cause damage.
☐ Never allow liquid or solid
objects to fall into the
ventilation openings.
☐ If any liquid or solid object falls
inside the LCD Display, unplug
the LCD Display immediately
and have it checked by qualified service
personnel before operating it further.
☐ Never push objects of any kind into the
LCD Display through the ventilation
openings as they may come in contact with
dangerous voltage points or short out parts
that could result in a fire or an electric
shock.
Allow adequate space around the LCD Display
to ensure proper air circulation.
☐ Never place the LCD Display in
a confined space, such as a
bookcase or built-in cabinet,
unless proper ventilation is
provided.
☐ There should be a clearance of at least 4
inches (10 cm) above the LCD Display and
4 inches (10 cm) on each side. If mounted

electric shock, or warping may occur.
☐ Do not install the LCD Display
in places subject to extreme
temperature, such as in direct
sunlight, near a radiator or a heating vent.
The LCD Display may overheat
in such conditions which can
cause deformation of the
enclosure and/or LCD Display

conditioning; moisture may
condense inside and may cause
LCD Display malfunction.
☐ Do not install the LCD Display where it may
be exposed to mechanical vibration.
☐ Do not install the LCD Display where insects
may enter.
☐ Do not install the LCD
