11.3. OPERATION FAN MODES

The Pro-Reg units can operate in 3 operating modes:

CAV: Operation at constant ﬂ ow

VAV: Operation at variable ﬂ ow

COP: operation at constant pressure

11.3.1. Constant airﬂ ow operation (CAV)

Mode recommended in installations where it is necessary to maintain a constant

airﬂ ow.

The speed of the fans is deﬁ ned to correspond to a precise airﬂ ow and to keep it

constant.

The fan ﬂ ow is controlled by a pressure transmitter integrated into the equipment

in all versions.

The controller performs the conversion of the signal received from the pressure

transmitter to ﬂ ow, using the relation

. This parameter K depends on the fan

construction and is different for each model.

In case CAV mode is selected, in the Main screen it is showed the actual m

/h of the

fans with pressure transmitters and also a percentage of the maximum fan speed

(Note that the unit has already been conﬁ gured at the factory, so it is not necessary

to make these adjustments except when replacing the controller or reset it):

In order to obtain the actual ﬂ ow, the parameter K has to be deﬁ ned.
