GEAR SELECTOR
(AUTODRIVE TRANSMISSION)
CAUTION
The vehicle will shift to Neutral (N) if its corresponding button is pressed,
regardless of vehicle speed. Do not rest your hand on the gear selector buttons
unless you intend to shift.
The gear selector
q
is located in the center console. To change gears, stop the
vehicle and, with the engine idling and the brake pedal pressed, press the button
corresponding to the desired gear. Do not attempt to shift gears with engine
speed above idle or while the vehicle is moving.
• R: Reverse
• N: Neutral
• D: Drive
• M: Manual (if equipped)
NOTICE
Do not attempt to shift the transmission while the vehicle is moving. This could
damage the transmission. Always shift when the vehicle is stationary and the
engine is at idle.
