WIND DEFLECTOR (IF EQUIPPED)
NOTICE
Brake fluid and alcohol will permanently damage the wind deflector. Do not use
glass cleaners, water or soil repellents, or petroleum or alcohol based cleaners
on the wind deflector, as these products can damage the wind deflector.
The wind deflector provides wind protection and increased riding comfort but will
not protect riders in a collision with another vehicle, the road, birds or any other
object. Do not ride with a loose or damaged wind deflector or mounting
hardware. Regularly check all fasteners for tightness.
Tighten all center wind deflector mount screws.
TORQUE
9-11 in-lbs (1 N·m)
Tighten all other screws only until the wellnut begins to turn.
WIND DEFLECTOR CARE
Clean the wind deflector with a soft cloth and plenty of warm water. Dry with a
soft clean cloth. Remove minor scratches with a high-quality polishing
compound designed for use on polycarbonate surfaces.
WARNING
Always replace the wind deflector if scratches obstruct clear vision and cannot
be removed.
