Cleaning Filters
To maintain the performance of your filters, they should be routinely washed and
replaced.
• Filters should be washed on a monthly basis and replaced every 6-12 months.
• Filters must be completely dry before using the vacuum. Allow filters to dry
for at least 24 hours in a dry, ventilated place before reinstalling and using the
vacuum.
• If surrounding humidity is high, please allow filters to air-dry for a longer period
of time before reinstalling in the vacuum.
• Do not put filters in a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryers, oven, or
microwave.
• Never operate the vacuum without the dust cup or filters properly installed.
• You may need to replace filters more frequently depending on use and
environment.
• Only use Simplicity replacement filters.
1. Make sure the vacuum is off. Push
the dust cup button release and
remove the dust cup. Pull up on the
blue handle to remove the filters.
Rotate the top piece to remove the
HEPA Media filter (Fig. 1).
2. Rotate the silver cap on the main
body to unlock position. Remove the
HEPA Media filter (Fig. 2).
3. Rinse all filters with cool water.
4. Set the filters in a dry, well-
ventilated place to dry completely
before reassembling.
