Safety information
To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow the safety
guidelines set out below:
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
■ The appliance should only be connected to correctly installed and
earthed mains power sockets. Ensure that the rating for your local
power supply corresponds with the details on the rating plate of the
appliance.
■ Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not
operate a appliance that has been damaged or dropped.
■ To avoid potential risks, damaged mains cables should be replaced
by the manufacturer, their customer service department or a simi-
larly qualified person.
■ All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies
or by the Customer Service department. Improper repairs may put
the user at risk. It will also invalidate any warranty claims.
■ Do not expose the appliance to rain, and never use it in a humid or
wet environment.
■ Protect the base, the mains cable and plug from damp, drips and
splashes. Never submerge the base or the mains cable in water or
other liquids!
■ Always take hold of the mains plug when disconnecting the cable
from the mains power socket. Do not pull on the cable itself!
■ Do not place the appliance itself, furniture items or similar objects
on the mains cable and take steps to ensure it cannot become
jammed or trapped in any way.
■ Unplug the mains socket from the wall outlet before assembling, disas-
sembling, when not in use and before cleaning.
■ Before changing any accessories or additional parts that move dur-
ing operation, the appliance must be switched off and disconnected
from the mains power.
