General safety instructions
DANGER of burns
Never touch the housing of the kettle (4) during and
immediately after operation. Only use the handle (8) to hold or
carry the kettle (4).
Hot steam is released when the water boils. Be careful not to
burn yourself. Wear an oven glove, if necessary. Turn the kettle
(4) so that the steam is directed away from you.
The surface of the heating element is still hot after use.
Only clean the kettle (4) once it has cooled down completely.
Fill the kettle (4) with a maximum of 1.7 litres of water. Refer to
the water level gauge (3). If you pour in too much water, it can
boil over and cause burn injuries and damage to property.
Only boil the water with the lid (10) closed. Otherwise water
can escape and cause burn injuries and damage to property.
Do not open the lid (10) while the water is being heated.
WARNING – potential damage to property
Only use the kettle (4) with the corresponding base (5).
Do not put any objects on the base (5).
Only operate the kettle on a flat, stable and fire-proof surface. If
the kettle is not placed on a level surface, it can tip over due to
the movement of the boiling water and cause damage to
property and under certain circumstances may also cause burn
injuries.
Never leave the kettle unattended when in use.
Unplug the plug from the socket when the kettle is unattended.
