NOTE
► The first time the appliance heats up, a small amount of smoke and odour
may be generated due to production-related residue. This is normal and is
completely harmless. Provide sufficient ventilation; for example, by opening
a window.
♦ After heating, pull the plug out of the mains socket and allow the appliance to
cool down completely.
♦ Clean the appliance again with a damp cloth.
Operation
♦ Close the appliance lid using the handle 4.
♦ Slide the fat collector tray 5 into the appliance.
♦ Replace the plug in the mains power socket. The red “Power” control lamp 1
lights up.
♦ As soon as the appliance has heated up, the red “Power” control lamp 1 goes
out and the green “Ready” control light 2 lights up.
NOTE
► The green "Ready" control lamp 2 may go out intermittently in the
meantime and the red "Power" control lamp 1 lights up. This indicates that
the appliance is heating up again to maintain the temperature.
♦ Open the lid and place the food to be toasted/grilled on the lower hotplate 7.
♦ Close the appliance lid using the handle 4.
♦ Due to the sliding hinges fitted to the upper hotplate 7, it always lies parallel to
the lower hotplate 7 even with large quantities of food. This guarantees an
optimal grilling result.
♦ Check the browning of the food after a while. To do this, open the appliance lid
using the handle 4.
NOTE
► Start with short grilling times and increase these until you have found the
correct duration.
♦ When you are satisfied with the level of browning, remove the food.
CAUTION
Damage to the appliance!
► Do not use pointed or sharp objects to remove the food. These could
damage the surfaces of the hotplates 7!
♦ Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
