Safety information
DANGER! ELECTRIC SHOCK!
■ Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external damage. Do
not operate an appliance that has been damaged or dropped.
■ Only connect the appliance if the power outlet is properly installed and
has a voltage that corresponds to the voltage indicated on the type
plate. The power outlet must be easily accessible so that you can quick-
ly disconnect the appliance from the power supply in an emergency.
■ Position the power cord so that it does not come into contact with
hot or sharp-edged objects. Guide it so that it cannot be kinked,
crushed or damaged in any other way.
■ Always disconnect the power plug from the power outlet before
moving or filling the appliance, in the event of problems, before
cleaning the appliance and when it is not in use! Never pull on the
power cord; always pull directly on the plug itself. Never touch the
appliance plug with wet or moist hands.
■ Do not use the power cords if the plug or cord is damaged.
■ Never immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or any
other liquid! If the appliance ever falls into any liquid, disconnect
the power plug from the power outlet immediately. Have the appli-
ance checked before using it again.
■ If the mains power cord of this appliance is damaged, it must be
replaced with a special cord that is available from the manufacturer
or its customer service.
■ Do not allow any liquid to run over the appliance’s plug connection.
■ Always keep the appliance as well as the power cord and power
plug away from open flames and hot surfaces.
■ Only use the appliance in dry indoor areas. Protect it from rain
and moisture.
■ Position the appliance such that it cannot fall into water, such as
into a bathtub or washbasin.
